INTRODUCTION
Wyvern Business Systems Ltd is committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of its business operations and supply chains. Modern slavery is a crime and a violation of fundamental human rights and includes slavery, servitude, forced or compulsory labour, and human trafficking.
This statement sets out the steps we have taken during the relevant financial year to ensure that modern slavery and human trafficking are not taking place within our business or supply chains.
OUR ORGANISATION, BUSINESS AND SUPPLY CHAINS
Wyvern Business Systems Ltd is a UK‑based organisation providing managed IT services, technology solutions, and associated professional services to business and public sector customers. Our operations are primarily UK‑based.
Our supply chain includes technology manufacturers, distributors, software vendors, logistics providers, and professional service partners. While many of our suppliers operate in low‑risk jurisdictions, we recognise that some goods or components may originate from global supply chains where the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking may be higher.
OUR POLICIES ON MODERNS SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING
We have a zero‑tolerance approach to modern slavery and human trafficking. Our commitment is set out in our Modern Slavery Policy, which applies to all individuals working for or on behalf of Wyvern Business Systems Ltd in any capacity.
This policy is supported by related internal policies, including those covering whistleblowing, ethical conduct, and disciplinary procedures, which together reinforce our expectation that all business is conducted ethically and lawfully.
DUE DILIGENCE PROCESSES
We operate proportionate due diligence processes in relation to slavery and human trafficking within our business and supply chains. These processes are designed to reflect the nature, size, and risk profile of our operations and include:
- Assessing the nature of goods and services provided by suppliers
- Communicating our expectations regarding ethical conduct and compliance with modern slavery legislation
- Incorporating appropriate contractual provisions where relevant
- Taking reasonable steps to respond to concerns or risks where they are identified
RISK ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT
We recognise that the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking may be higher in certain parts of global supply chains. Although our core business activities are considered low risk, we remain vigilant and take reasonable steps to assess and manage potential risks.
Where risks are identified, we seek to address them proportionately, working with suppliers where appropriate and reconsidering relationships where necessary.
EFFECTIVNESS
We monitor the effectiveness of our approach through ongoing review, including consideration of reported concerns, supplier engagement, and periodic review of our policies and controls.
Given the nature and scale of our operations, we consider this approach proportionate at this time and remain committed to strengthening our oversight as our business and supply chains evolve.
TRAINING AND AWARENESS
We are committed to ensuring that relevant employees are aware of the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking and understand their responsibilities. Training, guidance, and awareness‑raising are provided where appropriate to enable staff to identify potential warning signs and to report concerns safely and confidentially.
APPROVAL
This statement has been approved by the Director of Wyvern Business Systems Ltd and will be reviewed annually.
